Silvia is an excellent teacher and also manages the business side (payments, scheduling, etc.) in a highly professional manner. My husband and I have been taking lessons from Silvia for nearly three years. We started after our in-person classes ended due to COVID and after we had tried two other online teachers who were unsatisfactory. We are at slightly different levels from one another, but this is no problem and Silvia makes sure we are both challenged and supported. She uses various instructional materials depending upon the topic and to provide different learning approaches and styles. She has a curriculum and lesson plan based on our goals to help us continue to build on skills and is also flexible when a topic requires a bit more time for me to master or when life gets in the way of studying. We look forward to class, are pleased with our progress and are very glad to have found Silvia as our guide on this language learning journey.

I highly recommend Silvia Beltran as a Spanish teacher. I have been taking lessons from Silvia for about three years. When I retired, I wanted to learn Spanish. I had been taking classes for a year when I switched teachers to Silvia. I am very pleased with the progress I have made. Learning a language as an adult is not easy but she has made it a lot easier. Silvia follows a structured curriculum, based on an initial skill test. The materials she has developed for understanding new concepts are excellent and a great reference. Silvia continually modifies the structure and pace to meet my needs and keep me motivated. If you want to learn Spanish, Silvia Beltran is an excellent teacher who will help you reach your goals in a fun and rewarding setting.

Silvia is a great Spanish instructor who is serious about teaching not just the "how to" behind the language but the "why" as well. Not many instructors are skilled at teaching the language but even fewer are knowledgeable about the grammar side of the language as well. If you're a student who doesn't just want to get by in the Spanish language but also thrive in it by knowing what you're saying is actually correct, not just somewhat understood, Silvia is the best instructor you can have out there.

I wanted to take Spanish for immigration-work-related field and Silvia has been a great teacher and I would not go for any one else. Since the start of the course, Silvia learned about my needs, expectations, time constraints and learning abilities and geared and structured the course according to that. Not only does she explains things as many times as required but she ensures learning Spanish is fun and goes smoothly. She has been a great instructor and I hope to continue my sessions with her. I have taken her course for past 3 months and I have enjoyed her steady and smooth teaching style and how quickly I have equipped to Spanish and have enjoyed learning it!

My time with Silvia has been priceless! From our first session, she has been ready with lesson plans and a steady pathway towards my goals. Silvia's approach is one I really enjoy as an adult re-learner of this language. Plus she is wonderfully pleasant to be with and makes studying fun and engaging by also teaching me words and language to use in MY everyday life and industry. I could not recommend her more.

My husband and I were looking for an online class to keep us occupied during the pandemic. We were planning to travel to Spanish speaking countries over the summer. In addition to that I am an educator that works with Spanish speaking children and families. I enjoyed my classes with Silvia because she was warm and patient. She provided fun resources for practicing between classes and was flexible with scheduling.  I would highly recommend this class for anyone who is interested in learning a new language.

Silvia is a fantastic teacher! She speaks Spanish in a clear, easy to understand manner and does a great job explaining difficult grammatical concepts. She also speaks excellent English and has many years of experience living abroad, which allows her to understand and relate to many of the issues students encounter when studying a second language. Silvia was wonderful to work with and helped me to revitalize my (very rusty) Spanish! She took my capabilities and interests into account to create an engaging curriculum that was relevant to me. "Silvia is an excellent teacher. Focussed, patient, and engaged, she tailors classes to her students' individual needs and provides a wonderful learning environment. She was very flexible with timings of classes. We spent 2 weeks together doing one-on-one classes over Zoom, and in this time I was able to upskill my Spanish to a level where I feel much more comfortable living and working in Spanish-speaking environments. She highlights differences between Latin American and Spanish language and also provides homework and resources for self-directed study. My 13 year old daughter Vivienne is enrolled in an online international school called Interhigh Academy and loves it.  It is a British school and she is in Year 8.  Due to your excellent teaching last year she regularly gets top marks in her Spanish assignments and got an excellent report last term.  She is well able to keep up with the class in comprehension, writing, listening and speaking.  Vivienne loved her lessons with Silvia and progressed rapidly with her Spanish. I also took lessons with Silvia at beginner level.  Silvia was very patient and gave me the confidence to speak Spanish.  She also was flexible with the study program and tailored the lessons to my needs and interests.  This made learning the language much easier. I would recommend Silvia wholeheartedly as a teacher.

I have been working with Silvia for over a year now. I have never learnt another language and I have dyslexia, which made me feel less confident in my abilities at the beginning. Silvia has always made me comfortable, she brings good humour and alternative learning techniques if I was struggling. She is kind and patient, flexible in her hours, fitting in with my difficult nursing schedule.  I wasn't keen on the idea of learning via Skype but it has actually helped me more as as Silvia speaks, she types, so I can both hear the sounds and see the words at the same time. I would recommend her to anyone.

Silvia is a fantastic teacher. Her passion for teaching is clear from the very beginning of the first class, and she is always very accomodating in terms of organising classes at times that suit you, even with a large time difference between Ireland and Colombia, as well as guiding the lessons so that you can speak about the things that interest you. She uses a wide array of methods to ensure you get as much as possible from the classes, not least of which are the notes she writes herself that are fantastic. I would definitely recommend Silvia as a Spanish teacher!
